Waimakariri Libraries are celebrating spring with sustainability workshops across the district.
Connect with local gardening and community groups, discover tips and tricks on how to grow fruit and vegetables from local experts, and gain knowledge about seed saving, and seed raising.
Some seeds, soil, and containers will be provided, and we would like to encourage all ages to bring their own seeds to exchange, and recycled containers to sow their seeds.
These activities will also include how to make your own recycled containers and seed envelopes to store and save your seeds and take home with you.
Let’s grow together and bring your own seeds and plants to swap, to coincide with the traditional planting period after Show Weekend.
