BorrowBox has a great range of e-books and e-audiobooks for adults and children.
If you have a tablet or smartphone, you can download the free BorrowBox app from your app store, then you can login with your library card and pin number. Watch this instructional video for help on downloading and using the BorrowBox app.
You can also use BorrowBox on your computer or most e-readers - Access BorrowBox on your computer here, you will need the free Adobe Digital Editions software to use BorrowBox on your computer or transfer it to your eReader device.

Overdrive contains 1000s of e-books, e-audio and e-magazines, including e-magazines in languages other than English. Access Overdrive on a computer or laptop here.
If you have a tablet or mobile device, Libby is the easy to use app which provides access to OverDrive. Download Libby onto your mobile device or tablet, then login with your library card and pin. Watch this video on how to download, set-up and use Libby.
Overdrive can also be accessed on your computer or most ereaders - you will need the free Adobe Digital Editions software to transfer items you borrow to older eReader devices – some newer Kobo ereaders have Overdrive already installed.

Over 2000+ online picture books for kids in 60+ languages, including Te Reo Māori and New Zealand Sign Language. Each picture book is read aloud, and is paired with an English language version.
Also available via the LOTE4Kids app on your Play store or App store.
Mango Languages provides access to over 70 languages including Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese), French, Italian and Japanese. It also contains lessons for people wanting to learn English.
Mango uses a self-paced learning programme that teaches languages through relevant and topical dialogue using the four key components – vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture.
Simply log in using your Waimakariri library barcode and PIN number to use this resource from home.
Then create a Mango profile to save your progress. You can access Mango Languages through your web browser, or download apps for Android and iOS but please note - to use the apps, you first need to create a Mango profile through the desktop version.
