Customers can stream as many songs as they like, all ad-free! Additionally, they will be able to download 3 songs per week onto their device.
Freegal Music+ is a free music service which offers download or streaming access to more than 18 million songs including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists. In total, the collection is comprised of 200 genres of music from over 100 countries.
To access your Freegal benefits, you will need your library card number and PIN to log in. Freegal works with almost all computers, tablets, and smartphones. No special software is needed. Apps are available in the Apple store, Google Play store and Amazon.
Stream inspiring films and documentaries anytime, anywhere.
Kanopy seeks to provide ‘thoughtful entertainment’, selecting content that will entertain, enrich and challenge you. With over 10,000 titles and with new content added monthly there is something here for everyone. Kanopy Kids provides specific content for children and the Great Courses gives access to a fascinating lecture series on a diverse range of topics.
Kanopy is free to use with your library barcode number and PIN. If you are not a member of Waimakariri Libraries yet and would like to join you can find more information on our website or visit any branch. You can stream movies from your desktop computer, laptop, mobile device, Apple TV, and Chromecast.
Tickets
Each month, your account is allocated 30 tickets from your library. Your tickets reset on the first day of the month.
You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage, once you have logged in. As you browse for titles, you'll see the number of tickets required to watch each title or series and how long you have to watch it.
Unlimited viewing
There is unlimited viewing for some collections – scroll down to find British Cinema and TV Collection – Unlimited Viewing. Series and movies in this category do not use any tickets.
You can also access an unlimited number of Kanopy Kids titles without using any tickets.
Set up your Kanopy account
Once you are set up simply click “Log in” at the top of the screen and put in your email and password to access your account.
