School Holiday Fun

Come one, come all and enjoy the first 2021 school holidays at Waimakariri Libraries!

Holidays run from the April 17th to 2^nd of May 2021.

Fancy yourself an artist? We have a colouring competition for pre-school, primary and teen age groups! Come get your colouring sheet from your local library and sharpen those pencils! Artwork must be handed in by 2^nd of May. Winners will be announced on our Website and Facebook page.

Or perhaps you are a budding writer? Write us a poem or short story - just use one of our ‘first lines’ to get you started.

• It was fair to say, I was surprised to discover that my library was actually a time travelling machine...
• No one would believe me, but the new librarian was actually an alien...
• When I got home and opened my library book guess what popped out….....

Entries must be received by 2^nd of May. Winners will have their work published on our Website and Facebook page.

Easter might come early this year, but the libraries still have an egg to hunt for on our magical Mystery Trail! Follow the clues around the library and hand in your answers to be in the draw to win great prizes!
