Fiction Addiction

Calm your inner reading beast with a fabulous online book group run by Waimakariri Libraries. Each month we will supply two or three titles for you to pick from. During the month as you read you can add comments, discuss and interact with others on our book group Facebook page (No spoilers!). Anyone can join the book club at no cost.

Step one – join the Waimakariri Fiction Addiction Facebook group. You’ll find details here on the books for the month.

Step two – choose your book. Each month there will be two or three books to choose from. One title will be available as an eBook and eAudiobook, ready for immediate download through the BorrowBox app. Use your library card to get immediate access to the online book selections.  The other title(s) will be available as hard copies from Kaiapoi, Oxford and Rangiora Libraries. Visit your nearest library and ask the friendly team for a copy to borrow.

Step three – put the kettle on, make a cuppa, get cosy and start reading.

During the month library staff will be posting questions, thoughts and ideas about the books. You can comment and engage in some online discussion or gather new information and perspectives without interacting.  Our monthly online get together's will take place on the last Thursday of the month from 7-8pm. We'll remind you in advance so you don't miss out on a great chance to discuss the books.
