Do you have a favourite family recipe or cultural dish to share? Join our Community Recipe eBook project and help create a collection of recipes and stories from across Waimakariri. Discover new flavours, celebrate diverse food traditions, and contribute to a community-created eBook that brings people together through food. Email your family recipes to library@wmk.govt.nz, or drop them into one of our three libraries

SOLD OUT - Nee Naw Live in Rangiora with Deano Yipadee*
Join us at Rangiora Baptist Church in welcoming the amazing Deano Yipadee. Deano will sing his hits songs as well as read from some of his beat selling picture books. Hosted by your friendly librarians come an epic morning of music and literacy!

Science Alive: Big Reactions: Fire & Ice*
Through a series of carefully controlled fire-and-ice demonstrations, students witness rapid reactions, phase changes, and the science behind combustion.
Kaiapoi Library - Thursday 1 October, 10-10.45am, 11-11.45am, 12-12.45pm, and 1-1.45pm.

Crafty Kids*
Get crafty with Plaster of Paris painting! Create your own colourful masterpiece as you paint and decorate fun plaster shapes to take home and enjoy.
Rangiora Library - Thursday 8 October, 10am, 10.30am, 11am

Write on School for Young Writers: The Small Stuff (is important stuff)*
Using the small world of bugs and butterflies, we will explore some of the smaller details of writing- vocabulary choice, sentence structures and getting the details down.You will also get to discover some fabulous facts about New Zealand's incredible bugs!
