Two six-week workshops for Young Writers.
In this workshop young writers will sharpen their performance skills and discover how to connect with their culture, identity, and personal experiences to write song lyrics, elements of hip hop connected to rap, slam poetry, and the spoken word.
Young Writers will also have the opportunity to perform their work at a youth poetry showcase on National Poetry Day, Friday 28 August, 5.30 – 7pm, in the WORD Christchurch Festival, Rangiora Town Hall, Small Theatre (Cinema 3).
