The Fall Guy follows Colt Seavers, a stuntman who suffers a severe onset injury that destroys his life and his relationship with upcoming director, Jody Moreno. Now healed, Colt has a chance to rekindle his love with Jody when he is invited back to be a stuntman in her big blockbuster project. The only problem is the lead actor is missing in action, and it's going to be down to Colt to find him and save Jody's film.
Sarah:
This is a fun action movie which includes a sweet love story, and more than a dash of humour. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are both great in their roles, and there is plenty of car chases and stunts to keep the movie charging along. An entertaining watch.
4 stars.
Ciaran:
The Fall Guy is a celebration of stunt work in major-motion picture Hollywood. There are few moments that involve stuntwork in this film that lean heavily on visual effects. This is a showcase of a very dangerous profession, the hard work they do and what they experience in order to make a film. The story can get a bit over the top at times, but the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt shines throughout.
