Sarah and Ciaran reviewed this month: Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1
Movie review : Mission Impossible : Dead Reckoning Part 1
Ciaran:
Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One marks the seventh instalment in the franchise, pitting Ethan Hunt and his IMF team against a sentient AI known as The Entity. The Mission Impossible series is one of those truly classic Hollywood blockbusters, where on-set locations are captured as stunning vistas and practical effects are at the forefront of the craft. The cast is a real A-list of talent but I especially enjoyed newcomer, Hayley Atwell, as a pickpocket thief turned reluctant ally. If you want a true thrill, this is one to watch.
4 stars.
Sarah:
If you enjoy action adventure movies, you will be likely to enjoy this one – there is lots of suspense and amazing action scenes set in beautiful locations. Even if you haven’t followed the whole movie series, which has been going since 1996, and was based on an even earlier TV series, you will be able to pick up the story line pretty easily. With Tom Cruise playing the hero, this movie franchise is still going strong.
Total: 4 stars.
