Tēnā koutou katoa, and welcome aboard the Waimakariri Libraries Summer Reading Challenge for 2024, where your journey will take you around the world!

Collect your Summer Reading Passport from your local library and join our frequent reader scheme. Complete the challenges in your passport and go in the draw to win some fabulous prizes!

The Summer Reading Challenge runs from

5 December 2024 - 26 January 2025

1. Pick up your Summer Reading Passport from any Waimakariri Library from 5 December 2024.
   
   Get a head-start and come to our special sign-up days! 

   Thursday, 5 Dec – Kaiapoi Library 3-7 pm, Oxford Library 3-4:30 pm

   Friday, 6 Dec – Rangiora Library 3-7 pm

   Weekend of 7 & 8 Dec – all libraries during their normal opening hours

   Tuesday, 10 Dec – Oxford Library, 3-5 pm

2. Complete your challenges – 5 for the chance to win a goodie bag, 10 or more to go in the draw for the grand prizes. There will be an additional prize up for grabs for super readers who complete all 15 challenges
3. Take your passport to a member of staff by 26  January 2024 to go into the draw.
4. When you pick up a Reading Passport for your child, don't forget to pick one up for you, too! Taking part in this challenge is great role-modelling for your child and will encourage them to complete the challenge.
