Waimakariri Libraries QR Code Trails

student scans QR Code with their phone

The Waimakariri Libraries QR Code Trails include educational material based on historical information from our local towns, Oxford, Rangiora, and Kaiapoi, all linked to our website, or e-resources.

The way it works is you scan a QR code, and it will take you to the web page with information to answer a series of questions. There is a message at the bottom of each code to guide the young learners to their next destination and navigate their way around the libraries.

Each QR Code Trail is unique and different to the library location, and children can complete the separate activities and learn more about Rangiora, Kaiapoi, and Oxford.

Children can collect a worksheet at any Waimakariri Library to complete the activity and will need to bring their own devices, phone, tablet etc.

This is  one of our activities eligible for Children's University.

Available during library opening hours at all three locations, free to participate.

Primary School aged children 7-14 years old.
