What's a StoryWalk?
A StoryWalk is a book spread out over display boards placed around a park or reserve. StoryWalks promote early literacy, physical activity and family time together in nature.
Northbrook Wetlands StoryWalk
The story displayed at Northbrook Wetlands is The Grizzled Grist Does Not Exist by Juliet MacIver and Sarah Davis. Access Northbrook Wetlands via the carpark off Cotter Lane. Start at the welcome board numbered 1/12. Follow the boards around the wetlands reading the story as you go.
Te Korotuaheka | Honda Forest StoryWalk
The story displayed at Te Korotuaheka Reserve | Honda Forest is Five Wee Pūteketeke by Nicola Toki. Access Te Korotuaheka Reserve | Honda Forest at 96 Charles Street, Kaiapoi. On street parking can be found further down the street. Start at the welcome board pictured above. Follow the boards around the reserve reading the story as you go.
