Digitise Your Memories

Do you have old photographs, negatives or slides that you’d like to digitise? 

Learn how to transform them into digital files with our Slide Scanner at Rangiora Library.

In your first session we’ll teach you how to use it - all you need to bring is your physical items, a usb stick or portable hard drive (32MB or more), and a little bit of patience.

What can be digitised?

  • 35mm Slides
  • 35mm Photo negatives
  • Printed photographs up to A4 in size

Why digitise?

  • To easily share images with friends and whānau digitally
  • To ensure historic images are preserved
  • To organise and revisit memorises more easily

How it works

  • Book an introductory session with our team
  • Bring your physical items you'd like digitised to your session along with a minimum 32GB USB drive
  • Learn from library staff how to operate the slide scanner and digitise your memories

If you need more than the introductory session to digitise your memories you can book a time to use the slide scanner by email or phone.
